We serve fourmarkets: Clark County Nevada (Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin), San Diego County California (all cities), Los Angeles County and Washoe County Nevada including Reno, Sparks, and the Lake Tahoe region including Incline Village and Crystal Bay, Riverside County and San Bernardino.
With proper legal representation: Nevada (Las Vegas/Reno) evictions typically complete in 30-45 days. California (San Diego) evictions typically complete in 45-60 days due to AB 1482 requirements and longer court timelines. DIY evictions average 90+ days due to procedural errors.
Nevada eviction procedures are governed by NRS Chapter 40. For non-payment of rent, landlords must provide a 5-day notice. For other lease violations, a 7-day notice is required. After the notice period expires, an unlawful detainer action may be filed in Justice Court. Tenants have 5 days to respond. The court typically schedules hearings within 10 days. Both landlords and tenants benefit from legal representation to ensure compliance with Nevada's procedural requirements.
Yes. Milan Chatterjee holds Nevada Bar and California Bar (since 2022). This dual-state licensing is essential for Lake Tahoe border properties, California buyers purchasing in Nevada, and clients with properties in both states.
Nevada's super-priority HOA lien law (NRS Chapter 116) allows HOAs to claim priority over first mortgages for up to 9 months of assessments. If you fall behind on HOA dues, the HOA can foreclose and wipe out your mortgage entirely — even if your mortgage is current. This makes Nevada uniquely dangerous for homeowners who ignore HOA demands.
Homeowners association disputes in Nevada are governed by NRS Chapter 116, which establishes specific procedural requirements and timelines. If you've received a fine notice, lien threat, or notice of violation from your HOA, consultation with an attorney can help you understand your rights and options under Nevada law. HOA foreclosure proceedings move quickly in Nevada, so early legal review is advisable.
Under NRS 118A.242, Nevada landlords must return security deposits within 30 days after the tenant vacates. The landlord must provide an itemized statement of any deductions. Deductions are limited to unpaid rent, damages beyond normal wear and tear, and costs to remedy tenant defaults. If the landlord fails to return the deposit or provide an itemization within 30 days, the tenant may be entitled to the full deposit amount plus damages.
Bring all relevant documents including contracts, deeds, HOA correspondence, lease agreements, notices, photographs, and any written communications related to your issue. A timeline of events is also helpful. The more information you provide, the better we can assess your case during the consultation.
